Half term

As the school is breaking up for the easter hoiliday it means two weeks of revision for the year 10 students, as soon as we come back many students have their Drama GCSE RS mocs then revision we are also having liotrs of assesment results back. This can lead back to preperation for each GCSE as they all start in April mainly most GCSE are in June.

ADT GCSE

A number of Wren students have taken part in there ADT GCSE this took place on Wednesday and thurday of this week where there have been a number of spectacular pieces from waxed shirts which was scribed the dyed with oiul colours, we have also had abstract 3D pieces. This is a good part of the ADT students tasks as they have gone through what it is really like and this will be seen as the moc GCSE or the real GCSE. This took part for all ADTT student except those who do product design.

Enrichment at Wren

After visiting many enrichment's around the school I realised the importance of enrichment's. I interviewed many member's of Staff that run enrichment and the Students. Both seem extremely enthusiastic about their experiences in their enrichment's. Not only do they 'Enrich' our learning but propose an opportunity to enhance our wider knowledge on non-curriculum based subjects. According to the students, enrichment's are fun and always an opportunity to learn something new. Wren is a very unique school and having these excellent enrichment's just add to the originality and 'amazing-ness' of Wren Academy...
From cooking to knitting to Latin, we have it all. The wide variety of enrichment's are fantastic and overall is a great idea for all schools...

Year 10 students Drama

On the first week back of term, the GCSE drama students will be starting 30% of their GCSE, this intails pratical and written work. They will have 6 hours of pratical work, then have to write around 1000 words on what they did and whether or not the characters were believable. They will be doing there GCSE on the play "Blood Brothers" and the students will be seeing this play on the 14th May this year and write around 2000 words about this performance. This is a crucial part of the GCSE process for the Drama students.
